Zija Tea

Looking for a great detox tea? Then look no further. I have taken so many detox supplements and drank  a lot of "detox teas". But I will have to say that by far this is the best detox tea that I have come across. Not only does it work, but it tastes good too. You actually have to be really careful about how long you steep it. If you steep it too long you are probably going to be spending a lot of time in the bathroom the next morning!!

Here are some of the ingredients and why it works so well.

Moringa Leaf-Helps with digestion. Increases your energy and aids in sleep.

Senna Leaf- This ingredient is often used to help treat constipation, caused by slow intestines. Senna leaf helps increase the activity in your intestines.

Peppermint-This helps to promote healthy digestion, and is considered a stimulant to help cleanse your entire body.

Stevia-Helps to regulate blood sugar levels and can aid in weight loss by suppressing your appetite.

Rose Hip-High in vitamin C. It is a soluble form of fiber. It also helps to control blood pressure.

Marshmallow Root/Leaf-Used to support the intestines. It used to be used for a remedy for bladder infection, upset stomach, fluid retention, intestinal disorders, kidney problems, sinusitis and sore throat. It reduces inflammation and has a calming effect on the body.

So the truth about this tea is this,  it really does work. I take it at night about an hour or two before I go to bed. I usually drink it every other night. I have noticed that it does help me sleep better and it for sure will clean out your intestines the next morning. It is by no means harsh and it doesn't cause stomach problems, but you just have to make sure that you don't steep it longer that 5-6 minutes. It is a little pricey. But I don't mind paying for things that actually work. And I don't drink it every day. You can go to Amazon and put in Zija Tea.
From a lot of things I have been reading people use this tea and the other products in their product line for weight loss. I haven't ordered anything else from the company but I am hooked on the tea. I am sort of a detox fanatic!! So if you are looking for a good detox idea or you need to help a sluggish digestive system, give it a try. Research it and see what you think.

Until next time,
Jan

Hair Ideas!

Last week my good friend Nancy told me that she had been putting coconut oil in her hair at night before she went to bed. She said that it made her hair look amazing. I love when friends share beauty secrets!! Well that night I coated my head with coconut oil. I scooped a couple of tablespoons out of the jar and rubbed it between my hands until it melted.and worked it into my hair and scalp, and then tied it up in a knot and went to bed. I will have to admit that your hair looks like you haven't washed it in weeks when you get up in the morning, but it smells sooooo good. I did have to wash it twice to get the oil out, but she was right!!! Your hair is  so shinny, full and beautiful!!  So now I am making this part of my weekly hair routine. I also read that coconut oil is great for hair growth, and I am always looking for something to help in that department! Not only am I excited about this new idea but I am also excited about my new shampoo. I have probably tried 50+ shampoos in my day. And I am always looking for a great shampoo and conditioner for my hair.
Because I use Moringa Oil from Moringa Source in my Real Raw Beauty products I decided to check out their shampoo and conditioners that they offered on their website that also contain moringa oil.

SO DELICIOUS

I was shopping at Whole Foods this week and walked past the case that contained all of their yogurts.
Years ago I ate yogurt everyday. My favorite was cherry yogurt. I loved it so much I bought a yogurt maker. But when I shifted my diet and stopped eating dairy I quit eating yogurt. But that didn't mean that I didn't miss it. So when I walked past the yogurts at the store the other day I decided to investigate and see if there was any yogurt that was dairy free besides soy based yogurts. And low and behold there was So Delicious Coconut Milk Greek Yogurt, made from organic coconuts. I bought a couple of them and tried them out. They are a little more pricey than most yogurts but I think they are definitely worth it. I tried out the blueberry and raspberry. I will be buying more!!

Coconuts have so many amazing benefits for us.

Coconut in sansckrit ( ancient language of India), is known as the tree that supplies all that is needed to live. WOW!!!
Coconut water is almost identical to human blood plasma, which makes it a universal donor.

The "meat" of the coconut has the ability to rejuvinate age-related oxidative tissue damage-helps prevent aging and degenerate diseases.

Improves the functioning of the nervous system
Very useful in weight loss, because it increases the metabolism.

Also strenghtens the immune system and improves digestion.

You can actually apply topically to a bruise or wound and helps with the healing.

For women who are concerned about their calcium being absorbed-coconut will help your body absorb what ever form of calcium that you are taking.

I haven't been buying fresh coconuts yet, but that is on my list of to do's-After researching the benefits of the coconut water, I am ready to learn how to pop a hole into the shell and insert a straw and drink the water......

These are only a very few benifits of the coconut....it would take many blogs to list them all!

And to be honest, besides all the health benefits of coconuts-the raw truth is, it just makes me feel like Im on a tropical vacation every morning when I open the jar of coconut oil to add to my morning smoothies, I get to smell that incredible smell...

Untill next time,

Jan
